Hot day and nothing to do or a birthday coming up? Go to the Park for a relaxing hang out. For my dear friend Noura’s birthday picnic in Central Park I made 30 surprise sandwiches, where every sandwich was different, with various mix of hummus, pesto, mustard, salad, cheese, salami, parma etc. I put them all in a large patterned bag and then people had to stick their hand in and be surprised by what kind they got. It was a fun and different way to eat a sandwich and made it way more exclusive than it really was. The guests lounged around in the heat, ate and secretly drank wine and beer. Truly a fun day in the sun!
