Croatia – a few iphone/instagram snapshots from my trip
This is truly a summer of travel and fun for little me : New York – Bruxelles – Croatia – Spain – Iceland! How lucky can a girl be?
The past week I was in Croatia, where I participated in Open Show at the Zagreb Photofestival – always so enjoyable to present work, talk about it and get interesting feedback and questions. After the festival I decided to take a mini vacation to the island Krk to shoot for my ongoing project ‘Family Vacation‘ and to swim in the crystal clear cyan sea. It was wonderful and productive, relaxing and exciting all at the same time.
Croatia is a wonderful place to visit, Zagreb is a beautiful city, where the south meets the east, so even on a short walk you will see beautiful old buildings mixed in the landscape with soviet concrete boxes.
The croatians make excellent food (even though it tends to be a little to salty for my taste) and are famous for their cheeses and fish. I enjoyed both of those along with hundreds of delicious tomatoes that were sweeter then honey.

At least once a day we had a brake at a coffee shop to take care of our addiction to the internet
We are so lucky to have friends in Zagreb who took us in and fed us amazing traditional Strukli along other fine dishes from the Croatian kitchen.
The Adriatic Sea is both clear and clean, and so salty you can float with out using a muscle. Heavenly I tell you.
The Islands in Croatia are very family and children friendly and I recommend it as a destination with out hesitation
