One of the most wonderful things about becoming a grown-up and a family is that you can start to make your own traditions. Everybody comes with some childhood favorites and musts, and the big challenge is to melt all that together and then spice it up with something brand new. Something that is new now but is yours only and will be yours for the rest of your lives together.
We have just started this process and first on the ‘new tradition’ list is to see the Nutcracker few days before christmas. We saw this beautiful Ballett in New York while we lived there and yesterday we saw it at The Royal Theater right here in Copenhagen. We dressed up and had preordered two glasses of champagne for the break, so we felt very grown up and sophisticated the whole night. The show was stunning, moving, witty and cute but most of all it was breathtakingly beautiful and lit the christmas spirit in our hearts.
So now a new tradition is made, every christmas form now on we will see The Nutcracker wherever we are in the world.
